What have we been doing??

Well we left Highline Lake SP park earl and made our way home. We did stop in Cortez, CO for a few days and got a chance to see some fall color. It was really beautiful.

There was a hot air balloon festival in Mancos. That was really neat. We had thought that we would go to Albuquerque, NM, but this was enough for us first timers. And as I heard Albuquerque had some really bad wind. Anyway, really cool if you have never been up close.

We did get to see some of the first snowfall. Just a dusting, so cool. We left at the right time.

We made it home the first part of October and spent the first couple of weeks getting the yard back into shape. Sure is a lot of work. Well I say we, but I really mean Paul. He did the yard work. Of coarse we have been getting doctor appointments out of the way and that sort of thing.

We made a trip to Ashville, NC, to see the fall color there, but we were a little early, or the color came late. Had a good time with some friends that live in that area.

Different color than Colorado....more reds.

We have had a birthday party for my grandson, Taylor who turned one. It was a great time. The grandkids are getting so big.

Who is the monkey....and who thinks that is it hers....Kyla loves Taylor's monkey!!

Awh...Kyla is helping......I think that it was too late. Does he look like he liked it?

Mom and the birthday boy.

And we also made a trip to the beach. We went to Edisto Island, SC. Unfortunately it was right on the tail of a late season hurricane and we had rain most of the week. Still we had a good time.

Beach life...this little guy was very hard to see....had he not moved I would not have seen him.

Surf on the pier. It was the roughest that I have ever seen at this particular beach.

We have been busy this fall and it looks like we will be hanging out in Georgia for a while. We have decided not to spend the winter in Texas....but that does not mean that we won't make a trip or two someplace. Not sure what the spring will hold for us and defiantly not sure what is going to happen next summer.

Right now we are making our campsite (at home), better and enjoying the grandkids. I guess that is what is most important....they are not going to wait to grow up.

All is well with us and the girls.
